Privacy Policy for BudTrip

This Privacy Policy explains how the BudTrip mobile application ("BudTrip," "the app," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use it. We have designed BudTrip to keep your data on your own device and to collect as little information as possible. By using BudTrip, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2.1 Information you create in the app

When you use BudTrip, you may enter information such as trip details, checklist items, notes, and expense records. This content is stored only in local storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and we have no access to it. If you delete the app, this locally stored data is removed from your device.

2.2 Information collected automatically by third-party services

BudTrip itself does not collect personal identifiers, but the third-party services we integrate may automatically collect certain technical information when you use the app. This is described in Section 3.

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Google AdMob (advertising)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements (including app open, interstitial, and native ads). To serve ads, AdMob may collect and process information such as device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, IP address, ad interaction data, and other device or usage information. 3.2 Currency exchange data (Frankfurter / European Central Bank)

To show currency conversion information, BudTrip requests exchange-rate data from the Frankfurter API, which publishes reference rates sourced from the European Central Bank. These requests transmit standard technical information (such as your IP address) to the service provider as part of normal internet communication, but do not include your personal trip data, notes, or expenses. 3.3 Update and configuration checks

BudTrip may contact a remote configuration source to check whether a newer version of the app is available. This request transmits only standard technical information needed to complete the request and does not include your personal content.

3.4 App rating

BudTrip uses the official in-app review feature provided by the App Store (Apple) and Google Play (Google) to let you optionally rate the app. This feature is handled entirely by the respective platform; we do not receive or store any personal information through it.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Your in-app content is stored locally on your device and remains there until you delete it within the app or uninstall the app. Because we do not operate servers that store your content, we cannot retrieve or restore your data if it is lost or deleted. Data processed by third-party services (such as AdMob) is retained according to those providers' own policies.

6. Children's Privacy

BudTrip is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. While the app contains no objectionable content and may carry a low age rating in app stores, it is not specifically designed for or targeted to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The advertising and exchange-rate services described above are provided by third parties subject to their own terms. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service used by the app, please contact us so we can assist where possible.

The third-party services used by BudTrip may process data on servers located in countries other than your own. Where this occurs, it is handled by those providers under their respective privacy frameworks and safeguards.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
